Developing Communicators

Friday mornings March-June 2024

Preschool/K aged children who are interested and able to participate in a group setting with some support. May be developing verbal language (e.g. simple phrases & sentences), but require SLP intervention to expand their vocabulary, sentence length, clarity of speech, and/or social abilities etc. (e.g. mild-severe expressive or receptive language delay/disorder). May or may not have an additional medical diagnosis.

Emerging Communicators

TBA 2024

Preschool/K aged children who require a high level of support to participate in a group setting, understand language, and/or use language. May be pre-verbal, first-words users and/or word combiners, and/or may have difficulty significant understanding verbal language (i.e. Severe expressive or receptive language delay/disorder). May or may not have an additional medical diagnosis.

Speech & Literacy

TBD 2024

Preschool/K aged children with delays/disorders only in speech sound production (e.g. articulation, phonological delay, apraxia) and/or at risk for literacy difficulty.

School-Aged Groups

Developing Communicators

Wednesday 4-6 pm, March-June 2024

School age children who are mostly fluent in their verbal expression, and can maintain a reciprocal conversation. May require SLP intervention to support development of their social abilities, understanding/use of language, executive functioning, and/or clarity of speech etc. May include but are not limited to diagnoses such as expressive/receptive language disorder, ADHD, learning disability, ASD level 1, gifted.

Emerging Communicators

Wednesday 4-6 pm, March-June 2024

School age children who are working towards expanding their understanding and use of language (verbal or AAC) to interact and converse with others. May include but are not limited to diagnoses such as severe expressive/receptive language disorder, ASD level 2/3, intellectual disability, or other medical diagnosis.

Toddler & Pre-PUF

Early Intervention

Children who may have been identified or at risk of significant language and/or developmental delays, but are not yet eligible for PUF programming. May include but are not limited to diagnoses of severe expressive/receptive language delay (i.e. late talker), ASD, or other medical disability.
